Richmond Education Business Partnership (REBP) is part of the Education and Children's Services department of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

The purpose of REBP is to develop a productive relationship between education, businesses and community organisations. In doing so we are supporting the education of young people and raising the aspirations and achievements of individual learners. Together with our partners we are committed to encouraging and helping young people to develop their potential and become part of a skilled and adaptable community.

REBP are part of Business and Education in London South (BELS) which is a consortium of 5 South London boroughs.

Mission statement

The REBP team seeks to bring together schools, the college, business and the voluntary sector in order to develop lasting partnerships of mutual benefit and support 'Work Related Learning and Enterprise' within schools.

Learning through work: for example, placements in the community, work experience, part-time jobs, school enterprise activities, vocational contexts in subject learning.
Learning about work: for example, vocational courses and careers education.
Learning for work: for example, developing employer-valued key skills and career management skills.

Our vision

We believe that the whole community has an obligation to support the young people of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in their preparation for adult and working life. These young people will contribute to the community and the economic prosperity of the borough throughout their lives. They will play a full part in society, be employees, entrepreneurs, taxpayers and lifelong learners.
